On 23 September 2009, the Attorney-General, the Hon Robert McClelland MP, released the report of the Access to Justice Taskforce, ‘A Strategic Framework for Access to Justice in the Federal Civil Justice System’. The Government has adopted the reports central recommendation for a Strategic Framework for access to justice to guide the consideration of the future justice reforms and introduce strategic discipline to ensure the more effective allocation of resources.
Consultation
Following its release, the Government undertook extensive public consultations and submissions were received from a wide range of respondents.
