Inquiry into the Centenary House Lease

COMMENCEMENT OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
Public hearings into the terms of reference for the Inquiry into the Centenary House Lease will commence on Monday 9 August 2004 and initially run through to Friday 13 August. The hearings will be held each day from 10am to 4pm and will be conducted in Hearing Room 1 on Level 5, 55 Market Street, Sydney.
Television and photographic coverage of the proceedings will be restricted to a short period before the commencement of hearings on 9 August to obtain file footage. Otherwise, the use of television and cameras is not permitted at any time on Level 5.
There will be an earlier, one-off, opportunity to take file footage outside the Inquiry's office on Level 19 from 9am - 9.30am on Monday 9 August.
The Commissioner, counsel assisting and other Inquiry officers will not be available for interview.
Transcripts of the daily hearings will be posted overnight on the Inquiry's website, www.centenaryhouseinquiry.gov.au
Public hearings will resume on Monday 23 August, and will continue thereafter until completed.
