Annual Reports
The year 2006-07 was a productive one for the Administrative Review Council. During the year, the Council marked the occasion of its thirtieth anniversary with a seminar and a special anniversary edition of its regular ‘Admin Law’ bulletin. Additionally, the Council all but completed work on a series of best practice guides for administrative decision makers, made substantial progress on its report on coercive information-gathering powers, and commenced work on a project relating to complex business regulation and administrative accountability. The Council also maintained the level of advice that it has provided in previous years, issuing eight letters of advice during the year.
The Administrative Review Council had a constructive year in 2005-06, completing work on an important project on the scope of judicial review, establishing an advisory group on automated assistance in administrative decision making, making considerable progress with a project on coercive information-gathering powers, and beginning to plan a new project in the regulatory area.

The year 2002-03 has been a productive one for the Administrative Review Council, with significant progress on existing projects and work beginning on several new projects.
Activities of the Council during the 2001-2002 reporting year included the production of 'A Guide to Standards of Conduct for Tribunal Members', celebration of the Council's 25th Anniversary and involvement in the establishment of a Council of Australasian Tribunals.
The 2000-2001 reporting year was a dynamic one for administrative review and a productive one for the Council. During the year the Council completed a number of long standing projects and developed a substantial program for the year ahead.
The 1999-2000 reporting year can be seen as one of consolidation for the Council, leaving it well placed to continue to make a positive contribution over the coming years...
