Subject: Screening and Assessment
Description: This document has been developed to assist Centre and Advice line staff in the screening and assessment of client's process.

Subject: Centre Tables and Templates
Description: Various tables and templates to assist Family Relationship Centres to plan and meet reporting requirements.

The Indigenous Action Plan templates have been revised and will be under assessment from users over the coming reporting periods commencing 15 October 2007. These templates may be refined further if needed.  The main updated document is used to provide expanded information for the first and third reporting quarters.  The document titled Update (alternate) is less detailed and will be used for quarters two and four.  The due dates for the quarterly reports remain as stated in the funding agreement.

Communication and Media Resources

Subject: Working with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community 2008
Description: Family Relationship Centres have a responsibility to provide services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in their local community.  To provide effective services the Centres need to acquire appropriate knowledge and skills to help them work effectively with Indigenous Australian families.  This document is a useful introduction for staff and management of Family Relationship Centres to working with Indigenous families.

Subject: Non-English Speaking Background Media Kit
Description: The Non-English Speaking Background (NESB) media kit provides advice to Centres for dealing with the media on culturally diverse issues within the community.  The kit includes general information about how to approach NESB media and target messages. There are also examples of advertising from the communications campaign which sought to explain the laws.  This information is accurate and is included for general use by Centres.
