Outline of communication 1561/2007 concerning removal to Libya
The communication, received in May 2007, concerns the potential removal from Australia of an adult man (‘the author’).
The author arrived in Australia in 1996 and has made claims for a Protection Visa, which have been considered by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, the Minister for Immigration, the Refugee Review Tribunal and the Federal Court of Australia.
The communication alleges that Australia will breach articles 6, 7, 9(1) and 10(1) of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights if he is removed from Australia.
