Equine Influenza Inquiry financial assistance scheme
The Attorney-General's Department has established a financial assistance scheme to assist persons involved in the Equine Influenza Inquiry with their legal costs and related expenses.

An application for financial assistance under the Equine Influenza Inquiry financial assistance scheme must be made in writing to the Attorney-General's Department. Generally, a grant of financial assistance will date from the date of receipt by the Attorney-General's Department of the application for assistance. The application may be made through the person's legal representative and should include the following information:
- details of the person's proposed involvement in the Inquiry
- details of the person's proposed legal representation
- an estimate of legal costs and related expenses
- whether the person may be entitled to claim for legal costs or related expenses under an insurance policy or similar indemnity arrangement, and
- a completed statutory declaration.
