Human Resources

The Human Resources Branch provides expert and strategic advice in developing the Department's human resource management policies and consists of the following three sections:

Employee Relations Section

The Employee Relations Section is responsible for salary, allowance and leave administration including processing of pay, processing of leave, higher duties and compensation and for operational recruitment matters.  ERS also has responsibility for employment conditions policy including OH&S, rehabilitation and case management, workplace relations, HR advices and guidelines, workplace agreements, delegations and has some coordination responsibilities in relation to statutory office holder remuneration and other conditions.

Employee Development & Conduct Section

The Employee Development & Conduct Section is responsible for aspects of employee development including people development, performance management, the graduate program, traineeships, induction, staff survey and the health and wellbeing survey. This section also manages employee conduct, review of actions, HCO network, internal awards ceremonies and HR communication (HR Matters/AGnet).

Employee Planning & Reporting Section

The Employee Planning & Reporting Section is responsible for workforce planning, diversity, management reporting, personal diary, recruitment policy, job analysis and design and the administration and development of the Aurion Human Resource Management Information System.  The section also manages the Remuneration Survey, APSED and the ABS Survey.
