National Law Enforcement Policy

The National Law Enforcement Policy Branch is responsible for policy advice on the operational law enforcement agencies within the Attorney-General's portfolio (Australian Federal Police, the Australian Crime Commission, and the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity); firearms; illicit drugs and fraud against the Australian Government. The Branch provides secretariat support to the Ministerial Council on the Administration of Justice and is responsible for the administration of justice for federal prisoners and processing applications for the international transfer of prisoners to and from Australia.
