Recognition
The Protective Security Training Centre is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) under the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).
In addition to our training services, the Protective Security Training Centre offers an assessment service providing Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the following qualifications contained in the: PSP04 Public Sector Training Package Version 3.- PSP30504 Certificate III in Government (Security) – Government Security Stream
- PSP30504 Certificate III in Government (Security) – Personnel Security Stream
- PSP41604 Certificate IV in Government (Security)
- PSP41704 Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security)
- PSP51804 Diploma of Government (Security)
- PSP41504 Certificate IV in Government (Investigation)
What is the Recognition process?
Recognition is an assessment process that assesses an individual’s non-formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required competency outcomes, or standards for entry to, and/or partial or total completion of, a qualification.
It involves identifying, collecting and evaluating a portfolio of evidence that relates to work you have personally performed while working in a protective security environment. Your evidence must also be up-to-date and relevant to industry standards.

Once you have obtained information about the qualifications and the recognition process, please complete the Registration Form for Assessment by Recognition.
