2008 International Trade Law Symposium

The annual Trade Law Symposium will be held at Old Parliament House in Canberra on 11 and 12 April 2008.

The International Trade Law Symposium is an annual conference which is co-hosted this year by the Attorney General’s Department, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Law Council of Australia. This is the 29th Symposium. It is regarded as a leading forum for discussion and debate about international trade law throughout government, academic and private sector organisations.

2007 International Trade Law Symposium

The 2007 International Trade Law Symposium was held in Canberra on 4 - 5 May 2007. 

2006 International Trade Law Symposium

The 2006 Trade Law Conference was held in Canberra on 3 - 4 March 2006 and attended by over 60 senior members of the judiciary, Government, private practice and academia.  The Symposium was designed to encourage frank discussion among participants.  Presenters delivered short informal presentations, instead of formal papers allowing more time for debate and questions.  The opening address was delivered by Dr Rachel Bacon, Office of International Law.
