ADR Providers
About the ADR service sector
There are many diverse ADR providers. They range from government provided and publicly funded dispute resolution organisations to private professional organisations. It is not NADRAC’s role to provide mediation services or training programs to members of the public nor is it NADRAC's role to recommend ADR providers.
Accredited Mediators
Recognised Mediator Accreditation Bodies (RMABs) accredit mediators under the National Mediator Accreditation System. As the National Mediator Accreditation System is quite new there are many organisations that are still in the process of becoming RMABs. Organisations that have expressed their intention of becoming RMABs have been given membership of the National Mediator Accreditation Committee as RMABs for the time being. However, a transitional period has been set until 1 August 2008 for those organisations to fully comply with the requirements for RMABs under the National Mediator Accreditation System.
As at 1 August 2008, NADRAC has been advised that the following organisations are complying with the requirements for RMABs under the National Mediator Accreditation System:
- Australian Dispute Resolution Association Inc (ADRA)
- Australian Industrial Relations Commission (AIRC)
- Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM)

ADR Providers
NADRAC has compiled the following list of major national and state wide organisations that provide ADR services directly to the public. You should be aware that the list is not a comprehensive one. The list does not include ADR provided by courts and tribunals in connection with court proceedings or specialist programs for particular client groups.
Organisations that provide ADR services on a national or state wide basis and whose services are available directly to members of the public but who have been omitted from the following list may contact the NADRAC Secretariat and ask to have their organisation included.
Organisations marked with an * are RMABs
