The Attorney-General's Department works to achieve a just and secure society for all Australians.

We offer a range of employment programs that enable you to contribute to this objective while you embark on a meaningful and challenging career.

Graduate Program

Our 12-month Graduate Program combines formal and informal development. It exposes you to various facets of the department. You will undertake three different work placements, as well as taking up guided learning and development opportunities.

Summer Intern Program

Offered from November to February each year, the Summer Intern Program helps you expand your professional skills and knowledge. During the time you’re with us, you’ll experience a range of new challenges that will help you kick-start your career.

Indigenous Employment Programs

We support the recruitment, development and career progression of Indigenous Australians in the Australian Public Service (APS) through Indigenous employment programs including, traineeships and cadetships.
