NBN Co—the company responsible for implementing the National Broadband Network—is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) with an exemption for documents relating to its commercial activities.

A 2012 review found that NBN Co had fulfilled its responsibilities under the FOI Act.

The review found that NBN Co is achieving a high standard in its administration of the FOI Act, and is actively assisting applicants.

The report of the review was tabled on 16 August 2012:

  • the reasons for any exemptions.
