The Attorney‑General's Department invites comments and feedback on Australia's draft sixth periodic report to the Committee against Torture.

The draft report has been prepared in response to 29 key issues identified by the Committee in its List of issues prior to reporting. The content of the final report is limited to these key issues and there is a strict word limit of 21,200 words.

Making a submission

All submissions should be sent to humanrights@ag.gov.au and must be received by 5pm AEST Friday 7 September 2018. Extensions to this timeframe are not possible.

The final report will be provided to the UN Committee against Torture by 28 November 2018, as requested by the Committee.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
