Freedom of information annual reports

Before 1 November 2010, when changes were made to the Freedom of Information Act 1982, the Act required the relevant minister to present an annual report on its operation to Parliament.

From 1 November 2010, the Australian Information Commissioner Act 2010 requires the Australian Information Commissioner to present an annual report on the operation of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The report must include certain freedom of information matters.

Reports from 2010–11 onwards are on the website of the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Reports from 1998–99 to 2009–10 are available below.
