Invitation to United States Hague-accredited Adoption Service Providers

The US Central Authority and the Australian Central Authority are currently considering the viability of establishing an Australia-US intercountry adoption programme.

As part of these considerations, the Australian Central Authority invites expressions of interest from Hague accredited adoption service providers (ASPs) in the United States that would be interested in partnering with Australia to facilitate outgoing adoptions from the United States to Australia.

Selection process

The closing date for expressions of interest is midnight, Friday 6 March 2015 (U.S. Eastern Standard Time). All expressions of interest must include:

  • a statement of claims against the selection criteria and operating instructions
  • requested supporting information
  • a commitment to comply with Australia’s operating instructions.

The selection criteria and operating instructions are available below:

All expressions of interest should be received by the closing date. Shortlisted ASPs will be contacted for further follow up/interview.

The Australian Central Authority invites expressions of interest in good faith. However, the decision to open an intercountry adoption programme with the US is a matter for the Australian Government.

Please submit your completed expression of interest to one of the following:
