In 2012, the Australian Government undertook public consultation exploring the scope for reforming Australian contract law to make it simpler, fairer and more efficient.
Public consultations were completed on 20 July 2012 and included:
- a discussion paper released by the Attorney-General
- information leaflets on specific contract law issues (see below)
- an online survey
- stakeholder forums in Melbourne and Sydney.
