Review of the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 - discussion paper

Consultation paper

Building industry
Publication date

This discussion paper encouraged a broad review of the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 (Building Code 2016), which promotes best practice industrial relations for those contractors wishing to tender for Commonwealth funded building and construction work.

This paper sought views about the current effectiveness of the Building Code 2016 and invited practical examples to enhance it. Although the discussion paper provided questions to guide feedback, submissions that covered any aspect of the Building Code 2016 were accepted if they addressed the objectives of boosting building and construction industry productivity, reducing unnecessary red tape, creating better workplaces for industry employers and employees and producing more jobs.
