The author alleged that Australia would violate articles 2, 3, 7 and 16 of the CAT if it were to deport the author to Sri Lanka. The committee found the claims under articles 2, 7 and 16 inadmissible. In its follow-up report of 26 November 2024, the committee found that Australia had demonstrated full implementation of its obligations under article 3.
