Modern Slavery Expert Advisory Group: Expression of Interest Form
The Australian Government invites expressions of interest for membership of the Modern Slavery Expert Advisory Group.
The Expert Advisory Group provides strategic advice to government on key issues around the operation of the Commonwealth Modern Slavery Act 2018.
Expressions of interest are invited from a range of stakeholders including:
- leading business and civil society experts
- peak bodies (such as industry/trade associations, community/social service peak bodies, and advocacy groups)
- individuals and organisations with practical experience in modern slavery and human trafficking risk management, business and human rights, workers' rights, supply chains operations and management, and victim and survivor remediation.

Nominees' skills and expertise will be considered against the following criteria:
- Practical experience and subject matter expertise in business and human rights and/or global supply chain operations and management, including procurement and/or modern slavery remediation.
- Collaboration with government, business, civil society and/or victims and survivors on combating modern slavery.
- Engagement with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
- Depth and breadth of stakeholder representation and/or expertise.
Membership is voluntary and unpaid.
Submit your expression of interest using the Expression of Interest form by 9:00 pm AEST on 10 April 2026.
The Attorney-General makes all appointments to the Expert Advisory Group.
All nominees will be informed of the outcome of their nomination.
