Separate Meetings – Compulsory – 26AGD001
This activity discusses authorised celebrants’ obligations under the Marriage Act 1961 (Cth) to meet with each party to a marriage separately and in person before they solemnise the marriage. It includes information and questions about the purpose of separate meetings, and when, where and how the meetings should take place. The activity also discusses important issues relating to forced marriage.

Step 2: Answer the questions in the marriage celebrants portal.

The second activity is a knowledge of the law activity (26AGD002) and is available in the marriage celebrants portal.
To fulfil your 2026 professional development obligations, you must complete and submit both activities by 31 December 2026.
