Provisional Transparency Notice issued in relation to Press TV.
On 21 October 2025, the Secretary of the Attorney-General’s Department issued a provisional transparency notice declaring Press TV to be a foreign government related entity for the purposes of the Foreign Influence Transparency Scheme Act 2018 (the FITS Act).
A person whose interests are affected by the decision to issue the provisional transparency notice under subsection 14B(1) of the FITS Act may, subject to the Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024, apply to the Administrative Review Tribunal for review of the decision (see section 14H of the FITS Act).
