Pacific Law and Justice Program annual reports

The Attorney-General’s Department Pacific Law and Justice Program abridged annual reports provide a high-level overview of the program’s support to Pacific island countries in promoting the rule of law to achieve just and secure societies in the Pacific region.

The abridged reports outline key achievements of the program. These include:

• supporting and engaging with the Pacific Islands Law Officers’ Network (PILON)
• delivering the department’s flagship Pacific Legal Policy Champions Program and Pacific Legal Policy Twinning Programs
• providing strategic technical assistance on law reform projects to Pacific island countries
• maintaining the department’s longstanding institutional partnership with Papua New Guinea’s Department of Justice and Attorney General.

These outcomes are achieved in collaboration with Pacific partners, through training and mentoring officials from Pacific island countries and partnering with Pacific agencies on legal reform and policy development.
