Freedom of information departmental authorised persons arrangement

The Secretary has authorised each person who from time to time occupies, performs the duties of, or holds a position within the Attorney-General's Department listed below to:

(a) exercise functions and powers given to the Attorney-General's Department under Part II of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 as provided for in section 10A of the Freedom of Information Act 1982; and.

(b) make decisions in respect of requests made to the Attorney-General's Department as provided for in section 23 of the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

Note: This authorisation applies to a person who acts in a listed position.

Position

1. Senior Executive Service Band 3 – Deputy Secretary, including the Australian Government Solicitor
2. Senior Executive Service Band 2 other than the AGS Group – First Assistant Secretary
3. Senior Executive Service Band 2 in the AGS Group – National Practice Manager, Australian Government Solicitor
4. Senior Executive Service Band 1 other than the AGS Group – Assistant Secretary
5. Senior Executive Service Band 1 in the AGS Group – Corporate Advisor, Australian Government Solicitor
6. Executive Level 2 – Secretary's Office, Chief of Staff
7. Executive Level 2 – Director, Freedom of Information and Privacy Section
8. Executive Level 1 – Assistant Director, Freedom of Information and Privacy Section
