Co-design of National Justice Reinvestment Unit

The Interim Justice Reinvestment Unit has co-designed the National Justice Reinvestment Unit (NJRU) with Commonwealth-funded justice reinvestment initiatives and stakeholders throughout 2025. The co-design process is now complete. The design, functions and responsibilities of the NJRU developed through the co-design process are provided in the documents on this page.
An Aboriginal Community Control or First Nations-led organisation will be engaged to deliver the NJRU through an open procurement process which is anticipated to commence in February 2026.
