Migration Inquiry – public consultation

The Administrative Review Council is currently conducting an inquiry into the operation of the migration-related provisions within the:

  • Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024 (Cth) (ART Act)
  • Administrative Review Tribunal (Consequential and Transitional Provisions No 1) Act 2024 (Cth) (ART(CTP1) Act).

As part of the inquiry, the Council have published an Issues Paper and consultation is now open from 28 November 2025 to 27 January 2026. 

The Council will consider the responses received to the Issues Paper and may conduct further consultation with targeted stakeholders. Consultation responses will be published in due course.
