Attorney-General’s Department Census Results
The Australian Public Service (APS) Employee Census provides an important opportunity to hear directly from our people. It offers valuable insights into workforce priorities, including engagement, leadership, communication, innovation and overall perceptions of both the APS and the Attorney-General's Department. Our department's report highlights what we are doing well and where we can continue to improve.
Our department achieved a strong participation rate of 82 per cent. This gives us confidence that the results reflect the views and experiences of our workforce. It provides a solid foundation for meaningful action.
Our 2026 Census results show that we continue to perform strongly compared with the broader APS. While these results are encouraging, we remain focused on continuous improvement. We are identifying key areas of focus and incorporating them into our Census Action Plan, which will outline targeted initiatives to strengthen our workplace experience, build on our successes and support our people to perform at their best.
