Tamsyn Harvey is our Chief Operating Officer and head of our Enabling Services Group.

The Enabling Services Group covers all corporate services for the department. This includes:

  • strategy and governance
  • finance and budget
  • human resources
  • business operations
  • IT.

Before her current role, Tamsyn led the department’s Justice and Communities Group, which is responsible for key aspects of the justice system including the federal courts, tribunals and family law system, legal assistance, reforms to address family, domestic and sexual violence and elder abuse, First Nations justice initiatives, native title and copyright law. Tamsyn has previously held executive positions in the department as well as the ACT Government and the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity.

Tamsyn is our Indigenous Champion. She works with our Indigenous Employee Network and broader departmental staff to promote the recruitment, retention and inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff within the department.

Tamsyn has a Bachelor of Arts from the Flinders University of South Australia and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide.
